Packing for September 2006 Maintenance
Trip
W0CG's Garage, 13 September 2006
This is the shipping tube built in 1997 for VP5FXB by N8LGP. Steve used this tube to haul ten 10 meter 5 element monobander back and forth. | In October 1999 we hauled the monobander to Curacao, left it there in storage, and subsequently it became PJ2T's Europe 10 yagi. |
September 2006: This 70 pound tube contains boom tubing, deadends, turnbuckles, and aluminum brackets for antenna repairs. | Doesn't look like much, but this is lots of dollars worth of antenna stuff, packed very compactly. All eight of the new side mount brackets are in here, collapsed to individual components. |
70 pounds here also, including a bunch of steel guy wire, Phillystran, lots of hardware, truss assemblies, and my Makita grinder to cut rusted bolts off the towers. |
