Almost everything was discarded from the QTH during the first week of renovations, beginning 9 November 2000. I made successive piles on the back porch and Zoom hauled them to the landfill, one by one, in his pickup truck. We hated to get rid of the legacy PJ9JT contest operating chair, but the rats and iguanas had rendered it unsalvageable.

Here is the original PJ9JT operating location and desk. The desk later became shelves under the kitchen counter. KP2L removing hardware from the cabinet doors. These tilted cabinets were designed by Chet Brandon, PJ9EE, then owner of the Coral Cliffs Hotel.

The PJ9JT 54 foot tiltover tower, as it had been positioned for about two and a half years, completely unattended. Closeup of the serious rust damage at the base of the tower.
