March 2004

Received complaints of severe chirping on 160 CW. Not investigated further at that time.

July 2004

W4PA supplied us with a mod kit to correct the chirping problem on 160. Kit is stored with the radio. Not yet installed.

July 2006

Hauled to States and shipped to Ten-Tec July 2006 for repair of chirpy CW. Rig was repaierd and realigned back to spec. 

October 26 2006

Omni VI returned to Curacao by W4PA. Placed in service at Station # 2 for CQWW SSB, failing after a few hours. SSB was totally distorted on TX and RX. Line voltage was down to 104 volts and ambient temp in shack had reached 99.8 degrees. XVCR functioned perfectly when tested after the contest at 115 VAC and 90 degrees in room by W0CG.
