Notes on IC-765 SN 1956

Donated by W8TK. Has W1GEE interface cable bought by N8BJQ and NW0L homebrew interface. Both work.

RX reported deaf but problem could not be replicated.

Moved from Stn 4 to reserve, in desiccant bag, Oct 2009.

5 March 2013

Evaluated by K6AM in total station transceiver triage. Display blinks out. Squeals on RX. Mode switch inop. No power out.

5 April 2013

Loosened and connected all possible internal cables. No success. Mode switch still inop. VFO OK. No front panel buttons work. Squeal. Appears to try to transmit when keyed manually. Bagged without desiccant and stored at bottom of stack. Parts for N8BJQ IC-765?
