Notes on CCC Rotor 3

Donated May 2003 by N8BJQ. Has been rebuilt by CATS, quick disconnect added.

July 2003

Installed by K4LT on 80 foot tower to replace prior Ham II that did not have any direction indication. Had to use a barrier strip on the top of the tower to translate wiring because this was non-standard.

September 2003

W0CG removed the terminal strip at top of tower and rewired the rotor controller to conform with PJ2T rotor wiring standard. Quick-disconnect is now fully operative.

26 March 2009

This rotor on US/JA tower jammed and would not turn. Made hum noise when brake was actuated but no turning. W0CG replaced it with Rotor 4 and W9JUV cleaned up for preparation to ship.

13 April 2009

Packed and box given to W8WTS to ship.

8 May 2009

Repaired rotor arrives at W0CG in Ohio.

15 May 2009

Rotor given to N0YY at Dayton to take to Curacao in October.

20 Feb 2020

Tested OK, full rotation, W0CG. Has quick disconnect.
