Each morning for almost two months over the past two years I spent the first cool hour and a half before breakfast and a shower on the roof doing repairs. I replaced every single loose fastener with a new stainless one. Then as you see I put a piece of this high tech roof sealing tape on EVERY piece of hardware. This is special stuff that is highly rated to resist UV. Every fastener now has a little watertight umbrella on it. This will eliminate our longstanding problem with roof leaks. Now I will be able to paint the interior ceilings and have them stay nice. This was 550 linear feet of roofing tape, some 2600 individual pieces applied. I thank W9VA and my soffit friends for bringing additional rolls of this in luggage whaen I was running out. Since the tape is flexible, the seals give a little bit when the roof moves. But now we have to stay off the roof. I asked the ops to not walk on the white patches when they were up here working on antennas only to have to replace almost 50 of them that they walked on and punctured! This is another lifetime fix I believe. We can forget about roof problems now.
