Replacing a guy bracket is a big deal. It obviously requires first installing a temporary guy, composed of 1/4 inch steel cable, and tensioning it to support the tower. Once that is in place and you're confident it will hold, then the tension on the main guy can be gradually dropped out with the turnbuckle which, of course, requires totally disassembling the turnbuckle safety and waterproofing systems on the ground. Then you take the main guy loose from the equalizer plate on the ground, climb the tower, and fight with the old rusty painted hardware to get the nut and bolt out, then lower the guy down 100 feet with a pulley system. Then the old deadend can be removed on the ground and the new one installed with a new thimble, as you see here.
